FAQs

-How safe is the Respira Tank?

While the Respira Tank is designed for shallow water exploration, it is important to acknowledge that all water activities come with inherent risks. Nevertheless, adhering to the Safety Guidelines can significantly reduce these risks and ensure a safer experience.

For user safety, it is strictly prohibited to use any Respira product at depths greater than 3 meters.

The Respira Tank complies with the PPE (EU) 2016/425 standard and has been tested according to EN 250:2014 Respiratory equipment. This European standard ensures that diving equipment meets the demands placed on it at depth and under high breathing loads. The testing involved subjecting the device to a breathing rate of 62.5 l min-1 while submerged in water at a pressure of 6 BAR absolute (equivalent to a depth of 50 meters). Despite this rigorous testing, using any Respira product beyond a depth of 3 meters remains strictly prohibited.

-Do you offer a warranty?

Yes! We have a 12 month warranty on our products. You can find more information in the User Manual & Safety Guidelines.

-What Depth Can the Respira Tank Operate At?

For user safety, the Respira Tank is limited to a maximum diving depth of 3 meters. While nothing physically prevents you from descending further, it is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to go beyond this depth.

What Happens If I Descend Below 3 Meters?

Nothing will happen to your Respira Tank itself, as the depth limit is set purely for user safety. Even at a depth of 1 meter, there are risks involved, so it's crucial to follow all safety instructions.

-How Do I Know How Much Air is in the Respira Tank?

The Respira Tank has an integrated pressure gauge that allows you to easily check the air pressure.

-What Kind of Air is in the Cylinder?

The cylinder contains compressed air, which is the same as the ambient air that everyone breathes. It is also the same air used in conventional diving cylinders.

-How Long Does It Take to Refill?

Using the Lung Hand Pump, it takes around 15-20 minutes to refill the cylinder. You must refill the cylinder in 5-minute sessions, allowing the pump to cool down for one or two minutes between sessions due to the heat generated by the high pressure.

-Can I Fly with the Respira Tank?

Yes. When transporting the Respira Tank by air, you MUST remove all air from the cylinder and unscrew the regulator. You will also need to declare that the cylinder is empty and open. Before using the tank again, visual and hydrostatic tests should be completed. Additionally, after using any Respira products, allow a 24-hour window before flying.

-What Age Can the Respira Tank Be Used At?

The Respira Tank is intended for users aged 18 and older. All users must ensure they have read and fully understand the Safety Guidelines and User Manual.
